Thank you to all who contributed to our Turkey Fund!  We raised over $5,500 and we provided a turkey to every household that wanted one (371).  We are so grateful to be a part of such a caring and generous community.   

Happy Thanksgiving from Mt Si Food Bank. 

In lieu of turkey donations we are asking our community to contribute to our TURKEY FUND DRIVE. At this time we serve an average of 400 families every week and often the holiday weeks bring even more families to our door. Many of you know that our facility is extremely small and space is limited for storage especially freezer space. Last year we had turkeys all over town in different freezers and were shuttling birds for a couple of weeks. The turkey fund will allow the Food Bank to purchase the right amount of turkeys for our neighbors. The holiday sale on turkeys typically starts the second week of November and that does not give us much time to collect the 350+ turkeys that the we will need in order to distribute by November 14th. Make a donation on-line or you mail a check to 122 E 3rd St, North Bend, WA 98045. (Suggested donation for the purchase of 1 turkey is $15.00)

If you would like to donate holiday menu items outside of donating to the Turkey Fund Drive the Food Bank is collecting donations for the following:

• Stuffing Mix • Gravy- canned/jars/mixes • Cranberry (canned) • Pumpkin (canned) • Green beans (canned) • Corn whole kernel (canned) • Peas (canned) • Olives (canned) • Fruit (canned) • Sugar 5 pound bags • Flour 5 pound bags • Cooking oil • Onion soup mix

Thanksgiving menu items will be distributed to our neighbors in need on November 14, 2012. You may drop off donations to Mt Si Food Bank at 122 E 3rd St up until Nov.13th. The food bank accepts donations on: Monday’s 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesday’s 9 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday’s 9 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
